On May 19, Becki Newton attended the New York Upfronts party hosted by Entertainment Weekly and The Gersh Agency (which is Becki’s current talent agency). Pictures from the event are very scarce, but I’ve managed to find one at least. Becki looks great in a little black dress as she poses for the camera. Check out the photo in full size by clicking on the small preview to the right. If I find more, they will be added as soon as possible, of course.

As many of the Ugly Betty fans might already know, the show will be moving from Thursday nights to Fridays with the next season. This has caused quite the debate among Ugly Betty viewers, but ABC’s president Stephen McPherson is here to defend his decision, saying:

“I love the show [and] America [Ferrera] is one of our biggest stars,” says McPherson. “[But] you look at [Betty's declining ratings on] Thursday night and we think we have a big opportunity with Flash Forward. You have to make some bold moves sometimes. To me, I’d love to see [Betty] have a great run on Friday night the way Ghost Whisperer has [for CBS].”

The latest episode of Ugly Betty aired last night on ABC. It was a very dramatic episode with lots of twists and turns - and more funny moments with our Becki Newton as Amanda Tanen Sommers.
