I want to wish you all welcome to the brand new version of Becki-Newton.org! Since the previous layout had been up for more than a year (!) I thought it was time for a change. The new look features a stunning outtake from Becki’s TV Guide photoshoot, as well as warmer fall-colors. I really hope you will like the change, please drop a comment with your opinions before you leave!

Lucky magazine and Ugly Betty star Becki Newton, along with makeup designer Edward Bess, took over the fifth floor of Bergdorf Goodman’s to help readers reinvent their looks at Lucky’s reinvent shopping event on April 26. Becki, looking fantastic as usual, was all smiles as she posed for photographers. I have only been able to find three pictures from the event, but soon as I find more they will be added to the site.

Also, regular visitors of Becki-Newton.org might notice a few changes on the site. A somewhat-new style at the news setup and a lighter version of the gallery are some of the bigger differences. I’m also working on getting everything up-to-date, since everything I did from October last year to February this year went missing when my previous host experienced a server crash. Stay with us as we will continue providing y’all with all the latest about Becki Newton!

I know, I know. Y’all are probably wondering what’s been going on with Becki-Newton.org lately. And if you don’t, well I’m gonna tell you anyway.

So, here’s the deal; My (former) host experienced some serious server troubles which made lots of their hosted sites crash. I was, evidently, affected. Because of this, I lost all the updates I’ve made on this site since late September, last year. But don’t sweat it – I will start to re-upload everything to the gallery and have everything up-to-date on the main site as well, as soon as I humanly can! I have to give props to my new host Flaunt.nu for their fast and reliable hosting. Thank you!

Welcome back to becki-newton.org! After a few days of hard work we’re back and better than ever! I’ve updated practically the whole site with new information as well as new layouts on both the main page and gallery/video archive. Speaking of the gallery, it’s been updated with almost 5,000 photos! Ranging from screen captures of the entire first season of Ugly Betty(!) to a new photoshoot as well as screen captures of August Rush! Also, episodic photography have been released from the season premiere of season three, so that’s been added to the gallery as well. Click here to view all the new photos.

To view the site correctly you’ll need Mozilla FireFox and a screen resolution of at least 1024×768. A few of the pages look weird in Internet Explorer (I’m working to fix this), and I highly recommend you to use FireFox regardless. :)

In July of 2008, I made a post on the main page that stated that the visitors had the chance to e-mail me their questions for Becki, which I would then forward to her. So in the middle of August, I had the honor to finally send the very best questions to Becki Newton, exclusively for becki-newton.org. These are Becki’s replies (click on “read more” to view them all), which I received just a couple of days after sending the questions. I wish to say a huge “thank you” to both Becki and her publicist for doing this for us fans! It truly means a lot!

Q: When you got your very first paycheck for Ugly Betty, what was the first thing you bought for yourself?
A: I bought a fancy trench coat from Burberry. It was May and we had our first press event for Ugly Betty, and it was pouring rain. So I ran to the store and bought this trench coat. To this day, I am scared to wear it because I don’t want to spill anything on it.

Q: You’ve gotten great response for your singing, which happens occasionally on Ugly Betty. Is this something you would like to take a step further and release an album or at least a couple of songs?
A: I don’t think I would ever release any kind of album (I will leave the pop singing to Amanda!) but I do hope to be in a Broadway musical someday. That was my goal when I first moved to NYC. I ended up in TV almost by accident!

Q: What do you like to do on your days off?
A: I am the queen of doing nothing. I like to plan as little as possible and see where the day takes me. Now that I am in NYC, my best days are the ones I don’t plan out.

Q: What helps you get into character before a scene?
A: Putting on my sassy outfits and getting my hair and make up done!

Thank you so much for the site you have obviously worked so hard on!! It is so cool! I really appreciate all the time you have spent on it.

We just started season 3 of Ugly Betty and it is going GREAT. I love the show so much, and I have such a great time playing Amanda Tanen. The hardest part of my day is trying not to laugh when I am filming, especially when I am working with Michael or America. Now that we are in NYC, I think the show will be better than ever.
