Finally! Ugly Betty returns with a new episode tonight! It’s titled “Fire and Nice” and centers around Betty who is pressured to date an annoying fireman to speed along the investigation into her house fire. Wilhemina tries to prove to Don, an old flame from her past, that she’s just “Wanda from the block” instead of an uber-bitch, and Amanda draws closer to Tyler, convincing Claire to hire him as an in-house model at Mode. Meanwhile, Hilda meets Bobby’s parents for the first time.
Below are two sneak peeks that features Becki Newton as Amanda. The way she delivers the line “Uncle Papi!” is priceless. Some spoilers come with watching these videos, of course. Don’t forget to tune in to ABC tonight at 10 PM for the episode!
Becki Newton plays Mode magazine’s tart-tongued receptionist Amanda on “Ugly Betty,” and now she’s dishing to ET about assisting Self magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Lucy Danziger for a day.
“I have to say I really enjoy it,” Becki tells ET’s Kevin Frazier about being Lucy’s very temporary assistant. “I mastered the phones. I haven’t spilled any nail polish on the desk. I’ve gotten to try out a couple of different hair sprays. So overall, a very sucessful day.”
That’s what the actress tells Kevin over the phone — before she unceremoniously hangs up on him, proving she’s full of secretarial hijinks!
Becki is front and center on the cover Self’s November issue — in stores Oct. 20 nationwide — and she even writes the issue’s cover story, “A Week of ‘Why Nots.’”
So, does she think Self’s head honcho Lucy Danziger could hold her own against “Ugly Betty”’s Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams)? Visit ETOnline.com to find out!
A real gem has hit the Internet – namely Becki Newton’s audition for Clinique, from back in 2004! She looks absolutely adorable as she talks about her moment – buying a cappuccino-maker for her new apartment. Check it out below!

Just as it looks like billionaire Calvin Hartley is going to give Mode the bailout it needs so the magazine won’t go under, baby William is kidnapped – and Betty is dragged into the ensuing drama. Meanwhile Archie asks Hilda to be part of his latest political campaign.

Another webisode of the Ugly Betty mini-series Mode After Hours has been released. This one features Amanda and Marc seeing the British equivalents of themselves. I bet Becki and Michael Urie were excited to do their British accents, as heard many times in the official podcast. Check out the webisode below!
The latest webisode of Mode After Hours was released this morning, and centers around Marc and Amanda’s battle to see who’s the better rockstar (for singing karaoke). Marc wanted Amanda to be the eye-candy/backup-dancer/backup-singer but she wouldn’t take it. So they have the surveilance camera to be the judge. Watch below to see who won.
Becki and Michael Urie are hilarious in this one, especially as they show their moves to the camera.
